Article on SL Enquirer

Kim has opened up a brand new two story gallery in SecondLife to display hundreds of the photos she shot in the 1960's and 70's as well as providing a venue for the artists and photographers of the IATSE to display their work as the first Union presence in that universe. Here is the article written for the SL Enquirer on June 28 as their Headline story about Kim and her cyber gallery...

Kim Photographs "Angels in America"

In early April, 2007, the remarkable Hamilton High School Music Academy drama department performed the full two play cycle of "Angels In America." This ambitious production was absolutely breathtaking. Two of Kim's production photos from the play were posted on the LAUSD AIDS prevention website along with heartfelt comments from several of those who attended.

Kim's Reggae Photography Comes to Second Life!

Kim is opening the first ever Reggae Photo Gallery in the alternative Universe called “Second Life.”

Like “The Matrix,” all the avatars who walk around, fly and communicate with each other in this cyber universe are the alter egos of real people, over 5,000,000 subscribers, from around the world. Creating an avatar of yourself is free (though you might be tempted to buy some custom dreadlocks for your avatar) as is access to that entire world.

Two Rastafarians from Scotland (!) created the “I & EYE Gallery” so that Kim could display the wealth of photographs she shot in the mid 70’s of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Burnin’ Spear, Toots and many other performers, producers and Rastas during her visits to Jamaica and while working for Island Records. Almost 100 photos are on display, including Bob at his home on Hope Road and his much loved High Times cover.

The Grand Opening Celebration is scheduled for April 21 starting at 1 PM Pacific Time and continuing on into the afternoon and evening and will include music and free “cyber spliffs” for all the avatars attending

To attend the Grand Opening of the gallery (or to get a sneak peak before hand) go to www.Secondlife.com and create your free avatar (which you can custom design to look as much or as little like yourself as you wish) and then Go to “Edit” at the top of the screen and scroll down to “Search” and type in “I & EYE” and the instant teleport to the gallery will appear. Use your arrow keys to walk around and explore the two story gallery (and the dreadlocks and avatar T-shirts for sale next door at Destroy, Inc).

Kim’s avatar is “KimLenswomanPhotographer Writer” (you’ll recognize her as the hippie with the wreath of flowers in her hair, looking like she did about 30 years ago) and she will be present to greet everyone and answer questions.

See you in Second Life!
